#Ripple, a shitcoin pump and dump company convicted of massive securities law violations, buying a tradfi ("traditional finance") prime broker is a perfect example of the crypto industry making big moves to take over and integrate with america's existing financial system in a way that will be very hard if not impossible to unravel.

All of the money for this corporate takeover came from dumping Ripple's #XRP tokens on retail suckers.

Also Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse was one of the 2024 election's biggest donors.

oh look #BradGarlinghouse, another one of the 2024 election's megadonors, had (some of the) securities fraud charges against his company #Ripple dropped (they were charged with selling unregistered securities in the form of their token #XRP - the same XRP token that Trump wants to put in the “Strategic Crypto Reserve”).

i assume the rest of the charges (the ones they were convicted of) will be dropped soon enough.

U.S. authorities have seized over $23 million in cryptocurrency linked to the theft of $150 million from a Ripple crypto wallet in January 2024. Investigators believe hackers who breached LastPass in 2022 were behind the attack.

@ncweaver.skerry-tech.com note that it's all donor coins - #SOL (#Solana, backed by "crypto czar" #DavidSacks), #XRP (#Ripple, CEO is megadonor #BradGarlinghouse), and #ADA (#Cardano, created by #CharlesHoskinson). Trump only added bitcoin and ethereum a few hours later.

The price of all these tokens massively spiked 10-35% on the news as people seek to front run the American taxpayer’s “investment”.
