For anybody tracking the #FAA #NOTAM thing:
- EU press use grounded to mean unable to take off. Flights in air are okay.
- Flights not already filed can’t take off unless they use phone backup. That’s overwhelmed.
- Ultimately it just means safety concerns will lead to delays and cancellations.
- There’s currently no ETA on NOTAM filing resumption.
The infrastructure to airlines appears to be Java GeoSphere.
United have stopped all take offs until 10am eastern in US.
