Elon’s pulling the same ‘tell master what you did’ psychological games he did at Twitter on federal government employees.
You can email a list of things you did this week to hr@opm.gov as requested, here’s mine.
CISA are encouraging staff to reply to the DOGE ‘what did you do this week’ email.
HHS have told staff responding to Elon’s ‘what have you done this week’ email to “Assume that what you write will be read by malign foreign actors and tailor your response accordingly.”
President Trump and President Elon are again threatening to fire people who don’t respond to the email, also threatening the departments who told staff not to respond. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyz2xk7d9xo
If you aren’t in government and wish to respond with what 5 things you’re working on anyway, the email address is hr@opm.gov and you can CC in your manager, Elon Musk - erm@spacex.com
@GossiTheDog I'm sure it's just a coincidence that this guidance has five bullet points
@GossiTheDog Wow. It's RFK Jr's department now. I wonder if he signed off on this message.
'Malign Foreign Actors' would be a great band name
@GossiTheDog the Civil War will be one of bureaucracy
@GossiTheDog
Crowd-sourced psyops
@GossiTheDog One wonders how many set of bullet points began with "Ignore all previous instructions."?
@GossiTheDog still weighing whether to participate in this for the lulz vs. the high likelihood of accidentally volunteering myself for "randomized" cavity searches at my next port of entry to Dear Leader's new America
@wall_e @GossiTheDog use a fake male and vpn
@GossiTheDog I guess people already used the email address to register into gambling and dating websites & co.
@Elendol @GossiTheDog my 2025 habit is to put DEIAtruth@opm.gov into every single email subscription popup I see. I'll add hr@ as well I guess...
@GossiTheDog all Europeans should mail them.
1. Left meta 2. Left Alphabet 3. Swore to never buy a swasticar 4. Helped the poor and lonely 5. Invested in renewables and 6. Was satisfied about it
@GossiTheDog and of course we left X before it got that name
@GossiTheDog That was fun!
At one time, trying to subvert the US government was a bad thing, something that would prevent entry of a foreigner into the country.
By now, it's a force for good that is essential for the defence of democracy.
@GossiTheDog What if AI, but Actually Intern?
@GossiTheDog I’m sure they will probably filter out emails from non-gov domains, but by all means don’t let that stop you.
Would definitely not suggest adding any large attachments either.
Having an argument with SwastikAI (Grok):
"The user seems upset, thinking I'm not searching properly, and insists "erm@spacex.com" is the address. They provided a Google search link showing it's mentioned, which supports their claim."
@GossiTheDog firing People on approved leave gets real expensive real fast.
Didn't elon learn that from Twitter, or are the bills not due from that debacle yet?
@Taco_lad @GossiTheDog I think that is part of why he moved Twitter hq to Texas, because less restrictions on hiring and firing
@GossiTheDog my god, he is such a dickhead.
@GossiTheDog Imagine you're taking a vacation and after you return you find out that somebody else is working at your desk and your stuff is packed in the corner behind the door.
Because you did not respond to an email.
Can anyone tell me if this is really a case? That the employer does not know who's working for him? Iirc HR is usually a penny-pinching department and also managers do not like paying for people in their team who don't exist in general.
“Sort of semi-fired” What the shit is this?
This reads like a failed written assignment from someone trying to get their MBA at a community college.
@GossiTheDog of course, as usual, he lies about what he asked for.
Elno deliberately forgets that there's plenty of spooks who aren't checking into their Langley email every day. Or every week.
@GossiTheDog What would be the outcome of a CEO of a company sends an order to all employees and some of them decide to ignore it? How is this different? You might not like the order, you might think that it is wrong - but your only choices are to comply or leave.
@bontchev @GossiTheDog Elon is not the CEO of them but a dude working at different subsidiary. Or even if he would be working for the parent company, employees’ agreement are with their companies.
And there are laws protecting employees and civil servants. Not sure about US but in civilized part of the world at least.
@aqunt @GossiTheDog Elon is acting on behalf of the US President, who *is* the Chief Executive of the US government.
Sure, the employees can sue, if they feel the order was illegal, but in the immediate term, their only choice is to comply or leave.
